Youtuber of the week! Episode 4 ModernWarNegro!

This week's Youtuber of the week is ModernWarNegro. ModernWarNegro lives up to his clever name in his comedic antics in his Youtube videos. His videos stand out from other Youtubers that make Call of Duty video's because he adds a twist to his videos by being funny, but also suspenseful. He has a series called Black Guy Tales and the video above is personally one of my favorite videos, it is extremely funny. I am not really a fan of watching Call of Duty videos although I am an avid Call of Duty player, but this guy definitely deserves everyone of his subscribers and his viewers that he gets on his videos. I highly suggest that you check out the video above and any other videos if they interest you.

Throwback of the Week!

Far from Paradise...

I came across these shorts on Hypebeast recently for those who are familiar with reading my previous posts. At a first eye's glance, I thought that I was coming across some sort of gem, figuring that the price would be reasonable but apparently not. These "Paradise shorts" reminded me of my new floral shorts that I recently purchased from Old Navy. The shorts that I purchased are nice and these shorts themselves are also extremely nice as well. The price tag is ridiculous though, $320 USD for a pair of swimming trunks. It does not really matter what the fabric is made out of, nothing that deals with mesh fabric that is made into shorts should be $320. Anyways, I thought that this would be a cool "eye-opener" for those interested in shorts of this caliber and style. I definitely wish that they made pants, in a chino color with animal designs, that would actually be cool. I could picture the Supreme 5 panel "Khaki Camels" camp cap design on a pair of chino's. The only problem is that would probably be really expensive as well. NOTHING IS CHEAP ANYMORE WOW! I am also in the process of trying to find a nice pair of chino pants, one for skating and one for casual wear for a reasonable price. A Boutique Cleaner Look.

Lately I have been looking for the right place to purchase a nice pair of khaki's, almost like Dockers that fit perfectly and that I can also get in a few colors for school. I have also contemplated on buying Sperry's because it seems like every rich kid under the sun wears them and I do not want to be just another person wearing them, I like to be unique. I may end up buying a pair sadly, not because I wholeheartedly want to, but because they look like and they also look extremely comfortable. I usually wear T-shirts everyday, so I figured that having a pair of sperry's, with some Dockers could change up my look a bit at least once a week, although my look is usually black and white with a clean black or white shoe. I will figure something out once I get some money and rummage through Urban outfitters towards the end of the summer, I will keep you posted if I find any sites of interest for men's boutique or gentleman clothing.

Joey BadA$$!

The other day I recently was exploring the blog of another friend of mines (Ajayne Totten) and came across a rapper by the name of Joey BadA$$. I was very surprised when I heard his music for one because I had never heard him before, but for two because he is only 17 years old and is creating a superior name for himself in the rap industry. After rummaging through the comments on Youtube, and realizing the the majority of the comments were excellent about it, I could not think anything but excellence about this young rapper. Nothing spells more than ambition, when you are 17 years old, creating your own mixtape that is great, as well as creating a tour for your mixtape to get your name out there. Joey is definitely worth a listen and most say that his music reminds them of rap back in the 90s. I do not believe that Joey sounds as if he was from “90s”, or is “bringing back the 90s”, I just believe that Joey represents what real rap sounds like and most people have not heard REAL rap in a very long time, which represents the 90s era. Updates!

Well... Varial flips are the devil. I might not be posting for the next few days because I will be gone for a little while :). While I am gone and enjoying myself, I WILL be looking for more interesting things to post for you guys, so stay tuned please!

OLD NAVY is stepping it UP!

Recently picked these up from Old Navy for $15. This store is really stepping its' game up apparel wise. For those not familiar with Supreme, the Supreme floral cap definitely goes excellent with this. A guy in the picture above is wearing the shorts and holding the hat. This was definitely a really good pick up, they are extremely comfortable and the placement of the floral arrangement is definitely excellent and not cheap quality. Old Navy will be selling these shorts until the end of the summer I think, but they are definitely worth the price and trip for them. This was a sneaky release, but for those of you who are lucky to snag a pair, you could also probably re- sell them for a pretty profit as well. DJ Alf Alpha!

To start off, there are only a hand full of DJ’s that can actually spin in my opinion. While rummaging through Youtube to find some new summer mixes for my Ipod, I came across a definitely low key but very vibrant DJ. If you were not aware of him before, definitely get familiar with him. He arose from the ground up and slowly built the small empire that he has now, and the tracks that he spins are a mixture of Funk and Soul. He recently was one of the lucky spinners to spin at Coachella which previously passed last June. His name is DJ Alf Alpha ( Al- FAL-FUH). Check out his mixtapes at http://djalfalpha.wordpress.com/. You will not be disappointed. At the moment I am listening to World Ace Thanks Giving Part Mix from 2011. If you are into party music that hits the soul CHECK IT OUT!

Youtuber of the week Episode 3: Sprocker7

Sprocker7 to say the least is a very down to earth informative guy. He has been skating for many years, and rides for Revenge skateboards. The reason that he was chosen this week as Youtuber of the week is because although he is a skater and spends a lot of his time filming and uploading content for his channel; he also spends a tremendous amount of time dealing with outreach to his fans/subscribers. He encourages his subscribers to post videos if they need help with a specific trick for example, and he will upload the video as a response to his channel, explain in great detail where you went wrong as well as how to fix your mistakes. Even if you are on the border of wanting to skateboard, or not wanting to get into the extreme sport, I would definitely recommend visiting this gentleman's channel and subscribing because he is very helpful and knowledgable about his hobby and an excellent resource for information, or just cool clips in his gallery.

In depth swim through the mind of Frank Ocean

I came across this interview while listening to his piece of art, Channel Orange, which definitely is worth purchasing. This interview although me not being an artist, gave me in a way a new way about thinking about your interactions with others. Check this interview out, brought to you by BBC, it is very insightful.

Frank Ocean- Sweet Life Review

In today’s society, it seems as if people focus more on the little things other than the big picture. Frank Ocean is gay, who really cares? He definitely makes some of the most quality music out right now, so why should it matter? Now onto the song; this song has a very laid-back summer feeling. The summer feel that Frank uplifts in his music does not come from just the beat like most song writers, but from the very word choice that he uses.” The sweet life, mango, peaches and limes”, makes my imagination begin to wander, along with all around positive vibes to flow through my mind. Frank Ocean’s songs although releasing them sometimes one song at a time, definitely seem to not only put a smile on my face, but the other millions of listeners throughout the world, with their positive reviews. Frank Ocean definitely has a bright future with the music that he is writing and I except nothing but greatness from his albums due to him being such a dynamic artist. Check out this track, it is a must listen and once again people, drop all the negativity regarding his sexuality.

Youtube Video of the Week: Episode 2 Kevin Edwards Jr.

If most of you have not heard of him yet, now you have. Kevin Edwards Jr. is definitely swooping in as Youtuber of week. His video's cover an array of topics, from being funny, to just giving his viewers advice. For the most part, he really is a funny guy and does give some good advice. One of the funniest videos that I have watched from his channel was a recent video that he uploaded called "Ratchet Fight". I will not spoil the video, but it definitely is funny and as you go through his channel and check out his videos, hopefully you will think they are quality material as well. He definitely deserves a subscribe, especially for the fact that he had a channel previously with almost 100,000 subscribers that was hacked, along with all of his videos deleted. He was thinking about quitting Youtube, but did ended up not quitting because he enjoyed making videos for his fans, regardless of losing all of his work and a large amount of his subscribers. TOMS Shoe Review!

From the looks of my posts, it seems as if I am forgetting about the women in the equation of footwear along with apparel huh? Well I definitely have not forgotten about the women. A shoe that I was contemplating on buying, but soon realized that they did not look very good on me, were a pair of TOMS. Now a lot of guys can definitely pull off the TOMS look without socks and look totally fine. My legs are not as slender and smooth as some guys, so therefore I definitely cannot pull off the look. For women though, these shoes definitely look extremely comfortable. A friend of mines told me that the shoe molds to the type of foot you have, making the shoe an excellent casual walking shoe. Not to mention, the ridiculous amount of color ways that these shoes come in, the choices are quite frankly endless. In my opinion, I like women that wear TOMS, it shows that they have a good sense of style and they look very casual and clean with just about any outfit. The shoe itself definitely is not a bank breaker, and can be purchased for between 45-50 bucks depending on the location and store that you purchase them from. Lately, there has been some controversy regarding this shoe and the company because the CEO allegedly came out stating that he did not support the gay community. In my personal opinion, that is the CEO’s business and certainly not mines, his opinion does not threaten my livelihood and furthermore, the shoes are definitely great quality. This shoe is definitely an excellent spring and summer shoe, and can be worn by anyone.

Future Pick Ups

A lot of people in general, although the majority of them being skaters, have started wearing the Janoski’s. These sleek, clean shoes definitely give me a good summer vibe. At some point this summer I plan on picking up a pair in the color way above, which are called the Bonsai Birch Nobles. The shoes are a bit on the pricey side retailing at $74.99 USD, but definitely bring a new flavor to the shoe and sneaker community, specifically Nike. Vans Chukka Low Review!

These are the ones that I personally have. They are called the Vans Chukka low Charcoal Gum "Jamie Harts":

This will be a run down on the Vans Chukka low, skateboarding shoe. First off, this shoe is a very comfortable fit for any shoe size or shape of feet. They have a very comfortable cup sole that not only makes walking feel comfortable but they also have a very grippy sole that takes quite a while to wear away. As soon as you purchase this shoe, unlike other vans, which include some Authentics and Eras, this shoe does not need any “ breaking in”. Unlike the Authentics, Era’s, and many other styles of Vans, the Chukka low’s also do not wear away at your heel, specifically in the Achilles Tendon area, causing a rash or bruise to appear. The shoe’s inner padding gives the feel of the inside of the shoe a very comfortable snug feel, with it being just wide enough to mold perfectly to your type of foot. As far as skating these shoes, that is also another plus for the Vans Chukka low.  They are extremely good for skating because they have excellent board feel, along with a three-layer rubber toe protection. The rubber takes about a month and a half of hard skating and flip tricks to wear away, but if addressed early, these shoes can last up to a year with shoe goo. The one minor downside to these shoes is that they do not have lace protection. You will go through a lot of laces if you are skating them frequently, and rips as well as tears will occur as time elapses while skating this shoe. This is definitely a shoe I would recommend to anyone interested in them for skating, or just for casual wear, and they are not very expensive either. Some Words of Wisdom

I must say that I have had an idea for a while now. Nowadays, it seems to me that nobody comes up with inventions anymore, besides the usual social networking sites. Sure, everyone wants to be extremely wealthy and make lots of money to live happily; but in the society that we live in, that is virtually impossible unless you are very good at what you do, come from a wealthy family, or work your entire life until your hair is grey to become rich and then leave it all to your children.

The society that we all within the human populous live in, is filled with human robots. Everyone does the same exact thing each and everyday without thought. In some shape or form everyone has a bad habit, believe it or not. Most working Americans wake up, eat breakfast, go to work, come home from work, watch television or surf the Internet, and go to sleep, plus or minus a few tasks depending if they have children as well. Within that time span of roughly 14-16 hours within the day, it does not seem as if anyone spends time to actually think to themselves anymore.

Think about it; if someone really wanted to become rich and brainstormed ideas for ten to fifteen minutes a day for ten to fifteen years; more than likely, that person would come up with a solid plan for a very productive idea in today’s society. It does not have to be finding a cure for cancer, but something that can partially aid people within their daily needs and desires. It is definitely going to be interesting to see within the next fifteen to twenty years how new products are innovated as well as where our economy and country as whole stands. Take time out of your day for yourself; use this time to think; because if you forget about yourself and who you are as a person along with your goals in life, nobody else will remind you.
